Live at Pompeii es un vídeo de la banda británica Pink Floyd, dirigido por el director Adrian Maben y grabado durante el mes de octubre de 1972 en el anfiteatro en ruinas de Pompeya, Italia.
Las interpretaciones de "Echoes", "One of These Days" y "A Saucerful of Secrets" fueron filmadas entre el 4 de octubre y el 7 de octubre de 1971, mientras que el resto de canciones fueron filmadas en un estudio de París junto con proyecciones del anfiteatro de Pompeya. Estas secuencias de París fueron grabadas a finales de 1971 y comienzos de 1972, y pueden distinguirse por la ausencia de barba de Rick Wright. Esta versión fue distribuida a los teatros en septiembre de 1972 y también se incluye en la versión en DVD como extras. En agosto de 1974 se publicó otra versión que combina el material de Pompeya con grabaciones durante las sesiones del disco The Dark Side of the Moon en los estudios Abbey Road.

New Order fue un grupo inglés formado en 1980 por los miembros del disuelto grupo Joy Division, tras el suicidio de su vocalista Ian Curtis. Después de un primer disco oscuro y muy influido por el fantasma de Curtis (Movement), en 1983 editaron como single su canción más representativa, Blue Monday, con la que encontraron un sonido distintivo y que influiría muchísimo a toda una generación de bandas de los años ‘80. Ese sonido ha sido descrito como una fusión entre la música electrónica bailable y el post punk. Es particularmente notable en sus discos Power, Corruption & Lies (1983), Low Life (1985) y Brotherhood (1986).
